Articles for a general visitation of the monasteries, especially those exempt from diocesan jurisdiction and directly under Henry VIII's supervision, to inquire into their spiritual and temporal conditions. There are 86 articles in all.
A postscript, in Latin (f. 21v), directs all relevant muniments etc. to be expiscari or collected together. This postscript is in the hand of Richard Layton (d. 1544).
