Event detail for site: St Clears
c. 1414: Dissolution
St Clears was dissolved c. 1414.
However, Chris Pearce argues that the dissolution date appears to have been 1444 rather than 1414, when the foundation was granted to All Soul's College, Oxford [see Rot. Pat. 22 Hen. VI, pt. 1, m. 15]. The fact that the Cluniacs expected compensation for this donation suggests that they retained an interest in the foundation up until this date.
