Walter de Clare; Walter Fitz Richard , baron; lord of Chepstow

Died: c. 1137/8   

Walter was a younger son of the Anglo-Norman lord, Richard de Clare (1030 x 35-1087 x 90), who was lord of Orbec and Bienfaite in Normandy, and lord of Clare and Tonbridge in England.

Walter held land in Hereford during Henry I's reign and the king granted him the honour of Netherwent in the Wye Valley, before 1119. The latter included Chepstow Castle.
Walter died c. 1138 without any children.
