Adam of Orleton , bishop

Born: c. 1275   Died: 1345   

Orleton embarked on his diplomatic career in 1307 when he was sent to the Curia to promote the canonization of Thomas de Cantilupe (d. 1282). In May 1317 he was elevated to the See of Hereford and ten years later to the See of Worcester; thereafter he was made bishop of Winchester, much to the king's anger.
