John Grey , second Lord Grey of Wilton

Died: 1323   

Son of Reginald (Reynold) first Lord Grey, and his wife, Matilda. Following his father's death in 1308, John inherited significant holdings including lands in Ruthin, Denbighshire. From 1309 until 1322 Grey was summoned to parliament.

In 1277 Grey was given royal protection to go to Wales. In February 1315 he was made justiciar of north Wales and for over a year was keeper of the king's castles and lands there.
