This was formerly the property of Strata Florida Abbey and lay within its home grange - and former commote - of Pennardd. It is a large block of mostly upland pasture that stretches from the Upper Teifi to the edge of the Upper Wye Valley. The area includes a long-established woodland originally known as Yr Allt Goch.
