Stone head from Abbey Cwm-hir

This Romanesque-style carved stone corbel head was found at Ty Faenor (Devannor), a farmhouse located about a mile from Abbey Cwmhir which was built with stone from the ruins. The head was carved in Grinshill sandstone which was transported to Cwmhir from Shropshire for use in pillars, window arches, doorways and other carved details.
